It is proposed to install Electrostatic Precipitator and Bag filters to control the Air Pollution due to the installation of Sponge Iron unit. Regarding Water pollution control the sponge Iron unit has no water polluting unit. Only cooling water is used that is recycled through closed circuit. The Company is well aware of its duties towards the environment and has obtained clearance of the project from Ministry of Forests and Environment, Govt. of India, New Delhi.

Power plant’s main pollution is boiler waste gas with ash dust for which Electro Static precipitator (ESP) is fitted. Ash is collected at hopper and pneumatically conveyed collected in Ash silo, Ash from Ash silo is mixed with water and by truck is dispatched to dumping yard. This fly ash is sold or given free to cement manufacturer or local Brick manufacturer.

The company at the proposed Integrated Steel Plant site will develop green belt in planned manner under the proper guidance and dense plantation will be done to maintain better air quality & reduce the affects of pollution apart from the above pollution control devices.
